Jerry Wilcox has completed most of the contracts with Ontario Speedways and along with monies from contigency sponsors has developed a revised weekly race purse for 2009. Weekly purse totals which ranged from $12,500 to $13,500 for 24 car fields have been increased to $14,450 for a full field. With the addition of sponsors through OSCAAR’s new Event Presenter Program, the total weekly purse will likely be higher as the race season progresses.
In an effort to increase car counts and help with higher fuel costs, the increased purse has been applied to finishing positions of 8th on back to 24th. This has increased the weekly purse for these drivers from a previous range of $250 to $300 up to the new amount of $400.
