The 2009 OSCAAR Banquet was held on Saturday November 14, 2009 at the Monte Carlo Inn Vaughan Suites. Close to 90 people attended the event. OSCAAR drivers, teams, officials, sponsors, families and fans all gathered together to celebrate achievements and recognize contributions. Cocktail hour, buffet dinner and dancing rounded out the evening’s festivities.
The 2009 OSCAAR Championship was presented to Glenn Watson.
The top prize awarded to Glenn Watson was a $4000 Matco Tools roll-around toolbox. Glenn also received the Championship ring, a large OSCAAR banner courtesy of Knightworks Design and 3 Championship jackets, one each from APX Racewear, Dave Franks Photos and Hoosier Tire Canada/Bicknell Racing Products. Second place prize awarded to Derrick Tiemersma was a $2000 Outlaw body from Finish Line Fabricating. Third place prize awarded to TJ Woolsey was a $1000 Matco Tools roll-around totebox from CAEG Capital Automotive Equipment Group of Canada and a $400 crew jacket from APX Racewear. Each driver in the top ten received a trophy and a paid OSCAAR membership for 2010.
The 2009 OSCAAR Rookie of the Year was presented to Charlie Gallant. Charlie was awarded the Rookie Trophy, APX Racewear Rookie Jacket and Knightworks Design cooler with custom designed graphic wrap.
Additional OSCAAR sponsors present at the banquet and recognized for their contributions to the race purse, services, operating expense, banquet and awards include: JBM Leasing Ltd, Race2Way.ca, South Shore Services, Hoosier Tire Canada, Jenco Equipment, Seahorse Web. OSCAAR recognized the sponsorship support of Reinhart Trailers, VP Racing Fuels and Dickson Printing. Appreciation was also expressed to RB Graffix for the OSCAAR windshield decals and Bourque Transmission Services for supporting the raffled beer coolers.

Several appreciation awards were given to sponsors and OSCAAR officials in attendance at the banquet. There were also several door prizes awarded to banquet participants.
