John Fletcher’s return to the seat may not come as a surprise to most in the racing world as he runs a few selected NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Events and a couple of OSCAAR events each year driving for other teams. The surprise is that John is returning in his #61 OSCAAR Outlaw for this Friday’s 75 Lap Don Biederman Memorial event at Kawartha Speedway. An event John and his team have won 3 times prior and looks to add another trophy. “This race means a lot to me, Don and I became good friends after his racing days, and I have a lot of respect for him. But I want to add this race to honour Bill Snowdon, we won a lot together with this car” John commented about the return. Bill Snowdon and John raced together from 1994 to 2007 when Bill succumbed to ALS. Since then the #61 Outlaw has sat and waited for its return. A perennial favorite to win, John and his team have rebuilt and re-bodied for Kawartha.
